CCIS-MPA, CCIS-EEIA, LINPRA, MASOC and ZEP are sectoral national employer organizations in the metal and electro industry. CCIS-MPA, LINPRA and MASOC are members in CEEMET and know each other from CEEMET activities and other projects.

SKEI, OZ KOVO and LITMETAL are sectoral national trade unions. LBAS is a national trade union confederation. There is no metal workers trade union in Latvia. LBAS is member of the European Trade Union Congress (ETUC). SKEI, OZ KOVO and LITMETAL are members at the European Metal Workers Federation (EMF). FHM is a long-standing project partner of CCIS.

SLOVENIA

CCIS-MPA:
The Metal-Processing Industry Association
(Applicant organisation) is an independent, professional branch association, organized within the framework of CCIS, representing the interests of companies in the metal sector in Slovenia. Its main mission, is to take positions and propose policies relating to social dialogue (signatory party of collective agreement) and industrial relations, legislation and government institutions. We provide a wide range of services for our members.

CCIS-EEIA:

The Electronic and Electrical Industry Association is a professional industry branch association organized within the framework of CCIS, representing the interest of companies in the electro and electronics industry. Its main mission is to take positions and propose policies relating to social dialogue (signatory party of collective agreement) and industrial relations, legislation and government institutions. EEIA supports its member companies with assistance and advise.

SKEI:

Trade Union of Metal and Electrical industry of Slovenia is an independent and representative trade union of workers in the metal and electro industry and the largest and most powerful sectoral trade union in Slovenia. 


 SLOVAKIA

ZEP:

The Association of Electro-technical Industry of the Slovak Republic is an independent, voluntary professional association and an official representative of companies in the electro and electronical sector in Slovakia. It was established as an independent, voluntary, apolitical and open-economical organization which associates enterprises in electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunication production, research, development and projection as well as related activities, especially informative means.

OZ KOVO:

OZ KOVO trade union brings together workers of the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and metallurgical industry, services and public road transport, including members of the high school, as well as members from other industries who are interested to be organized in the union. The aim of the union is entitled to enforce the rights of its members to defend their employment, wages, work, social and cultural rights, interests and fundamental democratic and civil rights.


LATVIA

MASOC:

Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia is a voluntary, non-profit organization for specified industrial sector joining more than 150 companies today. The goal of Association’s activities is to promote the development of the metalworking sector, mutual cooperation and professional growth of the specialists in the sector.

LBAS:

Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia protects the interests of professional trade union members and employees on the branch and inter-branch level. Together with the government and Latvian Employers' Confederation LBAS works in the National Tripartite Cooperation Council. LBAS participates in the elaboration of economic and social development programmes, in the evaluation of draft laws, in working groups on improvement of labour conditions, salaries, tariff policies, compulsory social insurance and social guaranties, healthcare as well as employment, vocational education and lifelong learning.


LITHUANIA

LINPRA:

The Engineering Industries Association of Lithuania is an independent self-governing business association. It represents the interests of the Lithuanian mechanical, electrical, electronic and metalworking industrial sector. Together with its partners, LINPRA responds to the needs of the companies operating in the sector and their potential counterparts by providing them different services.

LITMETAL (LMPSS):

Unification of Lithuanian Metalworkers’ Trade Unions – a trade association which brings together members working in the field of engineering industry - metal products, machinery, bicycles, electrotechnic and electronics industry, vehicle sector and in other industries companies. Our main objective is to improve economic status and higher living standards of employees’, strengthen the movement of trade unions and represent our branch in whole Lithuania responsibly.


GERMANY

FHM:

Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is a private, non-profit and state-approved University of Applied Sciences. FHM has been founded in 2000 by medium-sized enterprises and educational institutions.Since then it has developed into one of the most successful private universities in Germany and established itself as a reliable partner of medium-sized enterprises. FHM’s goal is to provide students with necessary theoretical and hands-on skills for their later business career. The FHM educates young, talented managerial candidates. At present there are more than 1.000 students studying at the FHM on several degree programmes with an individual study organization in small elite learning groups up to 40 students.

The programmes on offer include state an internationally recognised Bachelor and Master programmes within the areas of Economics, Media, Communication, HR, Health and Social Work. The concept of the FHM includes a large focus on practical, career orientation, individual tutoring and small group sizes. Founding partners of FHM are organizations which on an international scale have been for many years successfully surporting and promoting small and medium-sized enterprises. The “Foundation for education and trade”, the “West German chamber of trade in North Rhine-Westphalia” and the “Chamber of trade of East Westphalia-Lippe for Bielefeld” have founded FHM in the year 1999.

The central campus of the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is located in the centre of Bielefeld. In addition to the central campus there are three further locations in Cologne, Pulheim and Hanover. The Fachhochschule des Mittelstands FHM has additional locations in Hamburg, Hanover and Munich through its Institutes for Scientific Further Education (IWW). In addition, the FHM also runs the Institute for SME in Lippe, located in Detmold and a German-Chinese SME Institute (DCMI) in Suzhou, China.

CEEMET:

CEEMET is the European employers’ organisation representing the interests of the metal, engineering and technology-based industries with a particular focus on social policy and industrial relations issues. Members of CEEMET are national employers’ organizations and federations, representing 200 000 member companies across Europe, the vast majority of which are SMEs. CEEMET is a recognized consultation body and discussion partner of the European Institutions, BusinessEurope, fellow associations from the MET and related industry sectors, European-level trade unions (EMF-FEM), ILO and IOE.
